Rear Window
2015-present, 35mm film
Since 2015, Preston Hartwick has been taking photos of the life outside of his sea-facing apartment.
An amorphous cast of characters - people, animals, inanimate objects - drift in and out of the scene, carried by the waves and shifting sands.
Each morning, evidence of yesterday’s tiny dramas are washed away by the encroaching tide, and the stage is set anew.
