“Someone is playing with his mobile game, clicking and buzzing gonna drive me insane,” so starts the first verse of the opening song. It’s “just another day on the ferry” for a commuter from Cheung Chau, a small, somewhat eccentric island some ways away from the busy streets of Hong Kong. There aren’t any cars on the island – but a lot of bicycles, which are the curse of Cheung Chau according to multi-instrumentalist bluesman and resident Nick Florent.
Nick Florent is a long term resident of Cheung Chau. He has made an album of songs, mostly about expat life in Hong Kong and Cheung Chau.
